Joe Joyner Obituary:Moody Police Department Mourns the Loss of Volunteer Chaplain Joe Joyner

The Moody Police Department is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our longtime volunteer chaplain, Joe Joyner. Chaplain Joyner, who faithfully served our department and community since 2010, passed away recently, leaving behind a profound legacy of compassion and service.

For over a decade, Chaplain Joyner was a steadfast pillar of support within our department and the City of Moody. He answered the call at all hours, offering spiritual guidance, a listening ear, and unwavering comfort to our officers and staff during their most challenging moments. His presence was a source of strength at crime scenes, in times of personal crisis for our personnel, and during community tragedies, where his calm demeanor and genuine care provided solace to all.

Beyond his official duties, Joe was a beloved friend and trusted confidant. He understood the unique burdens carried by those in law enforcement and dedicated himself to supporting their emotional and spiritual well-being. His commitment was a true embodiment of selfless service, asking for nothing in return but the opportunity to help.

We are eternally grateful for Chaplain Joyner’s years of dedication, his gentle wisdom, and the positive impact he made on countless lives. His absence leaves a void within our department that cannot be filled.

The Moody Police Department extends its heartfelt condolences to Chaplain Joyner’s family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. We ask that you join us in keeping them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of grief and remembrance.
