In Loving Memory of Janelle Elizabeth ‘Nelly’ Ferguson
A life defined by boundless love and gentle strength has been farewelled. Janelle Elizabeth Ferguson, affectionately known to all as Nelly, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of devotion that will forever warm the hearts of those who knew her.
She was the cherished and loving wife of the late Garry Ferguson, a partnership of enduring love. Her most treasured role was as a devoted mother and mother-in-law to Ryan and Anita Ferguson. Her nurturing spirit extended as a loving sister and sister-in-law to Debra and Craig McCallister and Susan and Steven Cundell.

Nelly’s kindness was a beacon, touching every generation. She was the adored Nanna of Eloise, Mia, Ian, and Amy, and a doting Great-Nanna to Henley, Romi, and Jetsyn. Her home and heart were always open, making her a beloved Aunty and a true friend to many, her warmth creating a circle of love that knew no bounds.
All friends and family are respectfully invited to celebrate Nelly’s remarkable life at her Funeral Service, to be held at St Paul’s Anglican Church on Thursday, 26th February 2026, commencing at 10am. The service will be followed by interment in the Harry Birgan Lawn Cemetery, Charters Towers.
